FAQ
Common Questions
Everything you need to know about lessons, the DMV road test, and how booking works.
Do I need a learner's permit before lessons?
Yes. California requires a valid learner’s permit before any behind-the-wheel instruction. We can help you prep for the written knowledge test and walk you through the DMV process.
Where do you pick up and drop off?
We offer free pick-up and drop-off across San Jose, Milpitas, Santa Clara, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Gatos, and Campbell — home, school, or work.
What car will I drive?
Modern, safety-enhanced vehicles with dual-control brakes, blind-spot monitors, lane assist, rearview cameras, and adaptive cruise control.
Is the Road Test Ready package required by the DMV?
California requires drivers under 18 to complete 6 hours of professional behind-the-wheel training. Our Road Test Ready package fulfills that requirement and includes the test appointment.
How does the summer discount work?
Through August 31, 2026, all $160 packages are discounted to $140 — no code needed. The price is automatically applied at booking.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, and cash on-site. No hidden fees.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes — free reschedule or cancellation up to 24 hours before your lesson. Same-day changes may incur a fee.
Do you offer lessons in other languages?
Yes. We offer instruction in English, Spanish, and Korean.
How many lessons will I need to pass?
Most first-time teens are well-prepared after the 6-hour DMV-required training plus a pre-test drive. Returning or international drivers often need 2–3 hours. We’ll give you an honest assessment after your first lesson.
