Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 5, 2026
By booking a lesson or using the El Camino Driving School website, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Eligibility
To book driving lessons, you must:
- Be at least 15.5 years of age (for teen drivers) or 18+ for adult packages.
- Hold a valid California learner’s permit (DL400) prior to your first behind-the-wheel lesson.
- Provide accurate personal information during booking.
Parents or guardians must provide written consent for students under 18.
2. Booking & Payment
- All bookings are processed through our online booking system.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, and Cash.
- Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice. Confirmed bookings are honored at the price paid.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
- Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson will receive a full refund or credit.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the lesson cost.
- No-shows without prior notice will not be refunded.
- Rescheduling is permitted at no charge if requested at least 24 hours in advance.

4. Student Conduct
Students are expected to:
- Arrive on time and be ready at the agreed pick-up location.
- Follow all instructions from the driving instructor.
- Not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances.
- Treat instructors and staff with respect.
We reserve the right to terminate a lesson immediately and without refund if a student is found to be impaired or behaves unsafely.
5. Instructor Authority
Our instructors are California DMV-certified and have full authority to end a lesson at any time if they determine the student’s behavior poses a safety risk to themselves, the instructor, or the public.
6. Pick-Up & Drop-Off
Pick-up and drop-off service is available throughout the South Bay area. Exact locations are confirmed at the time of booking. We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, road closures, or circumstances beyond our control.
7. DMV Road Test Appointments
For packages that include a DMV road test appointment:
- We will assist in scheduling your appointment at a nearby DMV office.
- DMV appointment availability is not guaranteed and is subject to DMV scheduling.
- We are not responsible for DMV appointment delays, cancellations, or test results.
8. Limitation of Liability
El Camino Driving School is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the El Camino Driving School website — including text, images, logos, and course materials — is the property of El Camino Driving School and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
